Allison Moorer, wife of Steve Earle (I bet she gets mightily pissed off with being introduced as “wife of Steve Earle” all the time) singing “A Soft Place To Fall”, a song that was featured, along with her and her band, in the film “The Horse Whisperer”.
You see, this is the sort of music I listen to inside the headphones when I’m sat in my little room painting and the rest of the family are in the next room watching womens TV which consists of a constant diet of soap operas or gay blokes telling them how to dress properly – when the TV world has gone completely crazy then I’ll still be sat here listening to melancholy music like this, painting.
Aye, that’s me also! I forget sometimes that the world is still going on when I’m painting, until someone pops their head in, “when’s dinner mum?” so then, I turn off my music, put my things away, and go back out into life.
Fortunately I have the luxury of being able to ignore them !
