Subtitled, “The Power of Blogging”
Sat in the office today busy doing web things for the company, ok, sat in my dining room which has recently become my office, when I took two phone calls.
Phone call one was the JobCentrePlus to inform Suzanne that they had brought extra staff in over the weekend to try and clear the backlog of mail and in doing so had found her P60′s.
Better news was that they have written a cheque out for her Job Seekers Allowance which she can pick up tomorrow – it doesn’t sound like its the full amount for the six weeks outstanding so we’ll reserve judgement until we see what the breakdown is, but still, its a nice windfall seeing as the jam and butter has just run out so we’re down to plain white bread right now.
Phone call two was Greg Mulholland MP, or at least his office, asking if they could help after my email to him on friday, good bloke Greg, I knew he’d come through, ignore my calling him a twat on Friday, I knew deep down inside that he’d ring, no honest.
I told his assistant (you know, the ones that they are allowed to claim expenses for) that the JobCentre had just rung and that we’d wait and see what they paid us and she said that they’d put it on hold then as Greg (good bloke, Greg) was going to take up the matter with the Employment Minister, what a bloke, top man, me and Greg are like that now (crosses fore and middle finger), I can call him Greg, his assistant told me to.
What a shame that Suzanne threw away our European Election voting cards last week stating something along the lines that we (see how she made my mind up for me) wouldn’t be voting for that shower of shite, or similar – I’d have voted for the LibDem man if I’d known.i

Top Man Gary!
I have a shredder attached to my letter box!
