Amongst a sea of dross, synthesised crap and the introduction of the ethos that it doesn’t matter what they sound like as long as they look pretty, the 1980s occasionally coughed up the odd hairball of quality.
Joe Eposito by the way, no I’ve never heard of him before or since either.

Ahhh, he’s alive & working out of Las Vegas. Just google Joe Esposito,
Excellent, all old music people should work out of Vegas, ideally they should all live on the same housing estate, how excellent would it be walking down a street and muttering to your companion “Isn’t that Joe Esposito there ?” and he/she says “Who?” and you say “You know, the one who sang Lady, Lady, Lady in Flashdance” and they say “never heard of him” and he overhears you and comes across to explain that he sang on The Karate Kid too and yet your companion has still never heard of him and so the two of you stand there in the mid day sun trying to convince your companion that he MUST remember Joe Esposito…
Just a thought.
